In the field of metal sheet processing, bending technology is an extremely critical technical link. It can shape a flat metal sheet into various complex and precise angles, and is widely used in many industries such as machinery manufacturing, architectural decoration, and electronic equipment. First of all, the selection and design of the mold is crucial. The right mold is the basis for achieving precise bending. For metal sheets with different thicknesses, materials, and bending angles, specially designed molds are required. The accuracy of the mold directly affects the accuracy of the bending angle. High-precision molds can ensure that the metal sheet is evenly stressed during the bending process, thereby obtaining an ideal bending effect. For example, when bending thin stainless steel sheets, the surface roughness of the mold should be low and the edge should be sharp to avoid scratches or deformation at the bend.

 

 

Secondly, the parameter setting of the bending equipment cannot be ignored. Modern metal sheet bending equipment usually has a variety of adjustable parameters, such as bending force, bending speed, bending angle, etc. The magnitude of the bending force should be reasonably adjusted according to the material and thickness of the metal sheet. If the bending force is too large, the metal sheet may be over-deformed or even broken; conversely, if the bending force is too small, the expected bending angle cannot be achieved. The bending speed also needs to be optimized. Too fast a speed may cause the metal sheet to generate a large impact force during the bending process, affecting the bending quality, while too slow a speed will reduce production efficiency. Operators need to determine the best combination of equipment parameters based on actual conditions through multiple tests and experience accumulation.

 

 

Furthermore, the pretreatment of the metal sheet has a significant impact on the bending angle. Before bending, make sure that the surface of the metal sheet is clean, free of oil and impurities. Oil will reduce the friction between the metal sheet and the die, causing the metal sheet to slide during the bending process, causing the bending angle to deviate. In addition, for some metal sheets with higher hardness, annealing treatment may be required to reduce their hardness and increase their plasticity, so that it is easier to achieve the perfect angle when bending, and then proper hardening treatment is performed after bending to restore their strength.

The skills and experience of the operator are also key factors in shaping the perfect angle. Skilled operators can accurately operate the bending equipment and adjust the parameters in time according to the performance of the metal sheet during the bending process. With their keen observation and rich experience, they can judge when the bending force needs to be increased or decreased, and how to fine-tune the bending speed to ensure the accuracy of the angle. In long-term practice, operators can also master some special operating skills, such as when bending complex-shaped metal sheets, they can achieve accurate bending at multiple angles by cleverly controlling the feeding direction and sequence of the metal sheets.

 

 

Finally, quality inspection and correction are indispensable. After the bending is completed, professional measuring tools should be used to accurately measure the bending angle. If the angle is found to be deviated, it needs to be corrected in time. For small deviations, it can be corrected by local adjustment or re-bending; for large deviations, it may be necessary to re-evaluate the entire bending process, check whether there are problems in the mold, equipment parameters, metal sheet pretreatment and other links, and make corresponding improvements.
